Inspired by the famous peanut balls made in Ohio, these Buckeyes are larger and packed with flavor. Ground peanuts, real butter and just the right amount of sweetness make up the centers of these incredible confections. The center is dense, yet fluffy, and finishes with just a touch of salt.
The dough is made in a mixer and then rolled by hand into frames. Each piece is then cut and gently formed to a tall rectangle. Each piece is then coated in our semi-sweet 61% dark chocolate. Even for milk chocolate lovers, this chocolate is delicate and not at all bitter. It is a really nice complement to the peanut butter filling.
Finally, the pieces are striped to give them that sophisticated look that you'd expect from such a quality confection.
